The home inspection industry has changed over the years. What used to involve a simple written checklist and walkthrough from an inspector, is now totally driven and managed by technology. Our inspections are now performed with the help of complex software, devices, and tablets. We can inspect, document, and report our findings with no paper involved. This means quicker and more professional results for you, the client. At Broadneck Home Inspections LLC, we use TapInspect software for our reporting. We have found that TapInspect is easy to operate and creates easy to read reports with clear pictures and comments.

There are all kinds of devices that we use to assist us in inspecting your home. These include infrared thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, drones, and even remote camera crawl space tanks that allow us access to confined spaces. All of these provide you with the most up to date technology the industry has to offer.

Drone: We use a Mavic Air 2 drone for all types of inspections. Drones are essentially flying cameras that we can maneuver around the home and photograph existing conditions. Drones are extremely useful for roof inspections, chimney inspections, foundation inspections, and dock and seawall inspections.

Crawl Space Tank: We use a GPK 32 crawl space tank made by SuperDroidRobots in NC for confined space inspections, primarily in crawl spaces, but also in some other unique situations. The GPK only requires a 10" height for clearance and is remote controlled by the inspector. This is particularly useful in older historic homes which often have limited crawl space access where it is unsafe for the inspector to fit in these areas. This provides both video and still photography of these areas.
